Texas Leaving for the open trail......

I recently just got back from a trip to Texas, with my good friend Tim. So I guess this would be just a good place to start my bloging, or whatever you want to call this thing. Just to let you know a little bit about me, I am a random guy, who like every other guy, does not know what he wants out of life. I guess I want the American dream, a dog to bring me the paper. Anyway, enough about me here is about the trip..........

We left to go to Texas from my house, let me tell you something, it is harder than it looks to drive a stick shift. I hate it. I wish god would not have cursed me with ADD then I might be able to drive one, but then I think it's a good thing that I do not know how to drive one well enough to get on the road because you have to think too hard, and I think I would just help the death toll due to accidents if i owned one. And the exception is TIM..................Tim excells at everything, even in cards, he doesn't play for fun.....he goes for the throat, we will get to that later. So Tim thinking it would be funny says, "You have to go to Wal-Mart?". I said yes.........okay in my blog you do not have to puncuate anymore i hate being FORMAlL.....so there i will not capitalize this "i", i feel better. I am random by the way if you subscribe to this blog. Just try to keep up. Back to the story...........after yes, tim hands me the keys, i hop in his statement to the world car, ask him, and i start it no problem, then comes the fun part, driving it without stalling out. Yea didn't happen. It didn't help that i had to start the car fifteen times by the road, and to get to the road you have to climb this "MOUNTAIN" in our church's parking lot. and you are on an incline waiting for traffic, so just not wanting to kill my passenger and myself and maybe a dog. I parked the car, only to find that tim has been watching the whole time, laughing, o yea he wanted company so he called in the church secretary, and our preacher to watch, HA HA HA HA, i laughed too. It was fun. My failures are often fun.

So Tim decides to start off the driving.......We have to go to his place of business for his "5 SPEED" lol just playing Tim, he set up an appointment for two thirty there at the auto dealership. So I thought this was going to be a journey in itself because Tim likes to put on his running shoes when he goes there. So we walk, after we drop off the car, to the nearest place where we could just hang out and talk, and that was snappy tomatoes, yea romantic i know. But i found out that Tim sucks at the hunting game, but is very excellent at the DK game, and for you who do not know what that is, it stands for DONKEY KONG, not the 64 version, i am talking about the game that started it all, ramps, barrells, and little pieces of flames trying to light your butt on fire, yea that one. So our stay at the little corner bistro is over and we head towards that dealership, i was suprised
THE CAR WAS READY, i thought they were sick. guess not, i chased a girl with a thermometer but she wouldn't let me get near her butt. Picked up the wrong Temperature gauge, i guess.
Telling me. lol......we get out of the parking lot of the dealership and head out for the open road. To Arkansas, we are on our way. We had to first go to memphis to his grad school to drop off a few books, the campus is beautiful. It had alot to offer in the library, for such a small campus. I loved it there also, you could tell it was a place of higher learning.

Searcy, ARK- was amazing. The musical experiences were unbelievable and i will never forget our host, I say that but I cannot place his name at this point in the story. I know I am horrible. I will edit this later, after Tim reads it, it's okay. We stayed with a guy that knew Tim really well through his grad. program, really nice guy. Knew music like no one i had been around ever, he and tim taught me alot in about a six hour session of just jamming out to LP's and the good stuff, like Beatles, Counting Crows, Lennon, Santanna, Big Names, Bigger Music. Unforgettable.

Abilene, TX- We get settled and are nesting in the first night. Wed. morning we get to the campus of Abilene, and you have to see it for yourself, it is just gorgeous, it made me want to transfer so bad, and still do. Jacob's ladder is this creative piece of art, that depicts Jacob's dream in the Bible. Words are stolen, when you try to describe this piece of art, so if you know me let me show you it on my phone. While in Abilene I had the oppurtunity to try TEXAS BARBEQUE. yea it's okay but give this good ole boy his pork. Sorry Tim. Betty Rose's I recomend if you are in the area. I gave them a shout out because that's Tim's favorite BBQ restaurant. The Mexican Food is awesome, I loved it, TEX-MEX is the best, and cheaper than back HERE IN THE STICKS. I guess cause of import taxes, lol just playing, i know they are high.....DUH

AUSTIN, TX..............can't remember, no just playing. This is where me and Tim part. It was sad. I met up with my cousin who lives in Giddings, that is just like South Fulton, so I will not go deep into it right now. Let's just say it's a little to homey for me to discuss right now. I only wished they had a water fountain, HA HA, you guys who know me know what I am talking about. AUSTIN continued..................meet back up with Tim in Austin and we go to this Theatre, that serves you food while you watch the movie, and it has a full service bar, i did not indulge. But you can if you want. It was cool.........Spiderman 3, a must see. I ordered Potato Wedges and they were good. We played cards, laughed, and had a good time on this trip. I enjoyed it and I will add as I remember little details, but right now this is all you get.
